2015 EVERYTHING CHANGED...
On a drive from Houston to Austin, my husband Brian and I came up with a business idea that changed the course of my career. Blogging was creative, but it wasn't paying the bills at the time, and it wasn't as fulfilling as it once was. I decided to pivot into a product-based business where I'd design, make and sell jewelry on Shopify. But first, I had to teach myself how to actually make the products.
With $1,000, no experience and under 10K instagram followers, I started my business in october 2015 on shopify.
After spending every day over the summer learning how to make jewelry and exploring my design style, I decided to put myself out there and launch the business. I remember thinking if I could just sell a few pieces a week I'd be happy. My friends and family members certainly hopped on the site to make purchases, but what blew me away was when total strangers bought something, sending me a kind note or tagging me on Instagram. It was my first product business and it was surreal to know I'd made something that became part of other peoples' everyday lives.
Fast forward a few years and somehow I added "Instagram Influencer" to my job description...and I was feeling disconnected from it.
In January 2021, I decided the influencer life wasn't for me...
Influencer marketing is honestly one of the most powerful brand tools out there and I fully support the industry, but I had a big realization that my job as an influencer didn’t feel aligned with where I wanted to go moving forward.
When I come back to my “why,” it always brings me back to my deep desire to see others thrive — living confident, whole-hearted lives full of freedom and worth, both personally and professionally.
And that brings us to today
I am working on something new, and while I’m not ready to share exactly what it is just yet, I promise I’ll share as soon as I can. One hint? It'll involve using my skills to help others. Until then, I’m excited to connect with you over email and on social media, encourage you, boost your confidence, provide helpful resources and possibly work with you! Oh, and I have a few more jewelry releases coming your way, too!

"If you aim to be something you are not, you will always fail. Aim to be you. Aim to look and act and think like you. Aim to be the truest version of you. Embrace that you-ness. Endorse it. Love it. Work hard at it. And don't give a second thought when people mock or ridicule it. Most gossip is envy in disguise."
